Turkey prepared a promotion campaign under the name of TURKEY FLOATING EXHIBITION for contributing to full membership negotiations for accession to European Union and important progresses were made with intensive works lasting for two years.
TURKEY FLOATING EXHIBITION that will visit 14 countries that are members of European Union will make an efficient promotion in Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Portuguese, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Latvia, Finland and Swedish ports for European commission on behalf of our country.
“MODERN TURKEY” which made great progresses in every field after the first SEYR-I TURKEY floating exhibition with the purpose of “TO PROMOTE THE YOUNG TURKEY REPUBLIC” under the order of Atatürk in the same route in 1926 after 86 years and came to a respectable country position in terms of political and economical aspects will be promoted.
14 countries within the scope of program have total 50% share in foreign trade of Turkey. From the point of view of tourism, these are countries sending 16.6 (60%) millions of tourists of 27.6 millions of tourists coming to Turkey in 2010.
TURKEY FLOATING EXHIBITION will visit 14 European country ports with a program that will last 34 days after opening and exhibition that will be made in Istanbul on 17-18 April 2012 and will end its program in Stockholm on 20 May 2012.
Great importance is given to “visitors works “ and intensive preparations are made in terms of exhibition’s high-level aim. In this regard, extensive guest data was created with coordinated works with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassies, Culture and Tourism Consultancies, Trade Attaches. Data covering target visitor details consisting of Statesmen, member of parliament, foreign mission, local executives, chamber of trade and commerce, non-governmental organizations, representatives of political party, scientists, artists, tour operators and travelling agencies, importers, store chains, contracting establishments, industrialists, investors, media representatives.
